As proud sponsors of this event for the second year in a row, We at Avalon Smart Homes are committed to giving back to our community by providing a safe, fun and educational youth event this summer. Join us every Wednesday from 7-9am at the end of the green pier for a great opportunity to learn about our local marine life, how to fish, and have fun with friends and family.

ABOUT ME
Attention fishing enthusiasts and supporters of local youth programs! Avalon Audio/Video and Smart Home LLC. Is excited to announce the Catalina Island Kids Fishing Derby 2023, and we need your help to make it a success.
Our mission is to provide a safe and fun fishing experience for kids on Catalina Island, while also promoting conservation and respect for the environment
while providing an educational experience filled with learning about how to fish and the different species of fish in our local waters. With your generous donations, we will be able to purchase fishing gear such as fishing poles, drop lines, hooks, weights, bait, cutting utensils, cutting boards, and provide FREE bait and fish food. In addition, we will also be giving away prizes like new fishing reels, fishing gloves, tackle boxes, fish scales, hook pliers, fishing line, tackle, etc. to the young anglers who catch the biggest fish, most fish, and most unique fish.
The money we raise will go 100% back to supporting the derby throughout the summer. We will also be offering breakfast snacks and drinks to the participants each week.
To make sure that the derby remains self-funded all summer, we will also be purchasing & selling custom shirts, hats, stickers, cooling towels, etc. each week. We are currently taking pre-orders for custom "Name shirts" for $30, basic shirts for $25, and hats for $35. These items make great souvenirs and will help us continue to fund the derby throughout the summer.
